Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Systems Ethical and Responsible Expert Recommendations, WAISERER organised by ConsuWAIS lab
The ConsuWAIS lab led by prof. dr. Svetlana Bialkova organised the Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Systems Ethical and Responsible Expert Recommendations, WAISERER during the 6th International Conference on Human-Machine Systems, ICHMS2026, hosted by NTU in Singapore.
The workshop aims to foster discussion and advance understanding of the challenges and opportunities for AI in contexts and scenarios beyond research laboratories and specialist environments. We continue successful themes from the ConsuWAIS project, inviting exploration of new trends related to AI and (manipulative) digital marketing practices.
The workshop started with the keynote talk “Toward AI compliance: The role of performance feedback” by prof. dr. John Dong (NTU).
To provide a thorough explanation of how algorithmic systems and personalised recommendations opened new business opportunities, but at the same time unlocked risks concerning the rights and well-being of consumers, two presentations by ConsuWAIS lab highlighted:
- “A Taxonomy of AI enabled Tourism: Engineering the new era of responsible systems integration”
- “Explainable AI: Lifting Satisfaction and Future Use”
A roundtable on“Artificial Intelligence Systems: Ethical and Responsible Expert Recommendations” addressed challenging questions, exploring new trends and appropriate solutions for building advanced AI systems to safeguard consumers.
The workshop attracted great interest and provoked discussion among panellists and the audience along the intriguing topic of how to build artificial intelligence systems to provide ethical and responsible expert recommendations.
